John A. Creager - Martha E. McGinnis January 27 1868 Boyle County KyArchives Deed Written: January 27 1868 Recorded: January 27 1868 Deed Book 10, page 411 This Indenture, Witnesseth, that Martha E. McGinnis and S. R. McGinnis her husband for and in consideration of the Sum of Sixteen hundred dollars paid and Secured to be paid to them by John A. Creager, that is the Sum of twelve hundred dollars in hand paid, and the Said Creagers note payable Six months after date, with interest from date, and for four hundred dollars ($400) and for which Sum a lien is retained on the lands herein conveyed the Said McGinnis and husband have granted bargained and Sold, and by these presents hereby alien and convey unto the Said John A. Creager the following house and lot in Perryville Kentucky on the East side of Chaplin and known as lot No. [blank] in the plan of Said town, commencing at the corner of the Street which runs in the direction of Mitchellsburg, and the Street which runs up from Chaplin to where N. Wingate formerly lived, thence running with Said Street to G. W. Calverts lot, thence South with Said lot to Mrs. Wm. Greens lot, thence West with her lot to the Street running to Mitchellsburg, thence North with Said street to the beginning, containing about one half acre, and its appurtenances, the above being the same house and lot conveyed to Martha E. McGinnis by Benj. Crow and wife, which Deed is recorded in the Boyle County Clerks office in Deed Book No. 9, Page 158, and the Said Martha E. McGinnis and S. R. McGinnis her husband will forever warrant and defend the title to Said house and lot unto the said John A. Creager against the claims of all persons whatsoever, except the lien herein retained.
