John McGinnis - John (Estate) Briscoe August 5 1851 Boyle County KyArchives Deed Written: August 5 1851 Recorded: February 13 1852 Deed Book 4, page 263 This Indenture made this 5th day of August 1851 Between James P. Mitchell Surviving Executor of John Briscoe deceased late of Mercer County [crossed out] now of Boyle County and State of Kentucky of the first part and John McGinnis of the County and State aforesaid of the Second part, Witnesseth, that the said James P. Mitchell by virtue of the power vested in him by the last will and testament of the Said John Briscoe dec'd and for and in consideration of the Sum of one hundred dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell to the Said John McGinnis and his heirs forever one Certain lot, piece, or parcel of land situate lying and being in the Town of Perryville and County aforesaid and Bounded as follows, Beginning at the intersection of the East street of Said Town, with the South Street, thence with South street N84E about 20 poles to the intersection of a street near William Vannoys house thence with Said street N6W Eight poles to the Corner of Calverts lot thence with Calverts line S84W about 20 poles to the edge of the East Street, thence with the Same S6Eight poles to the Beginning containing one acre be the same more or less with its appurtenances, to have and to hold the aforesaid lot piece, or parcel of land with all its appurtenances to the only use and behoof of him the Said John McGinnis and his heirs forever, and the said James P. Mitchell in his character as executor of the Said John Briscoe dec'd doth by these presents covenant to and with ["and with" crossed out] warrant and defend the title of Said premises against the Claim of John Briscoes heirs but against the claim ["the claim" crossed out] no other Claims whatever. In Testimony whereof the said James P. Mitchell Executor as aforesaid hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal this day and date aforesaid. J. P.
