McGinnis June 9 1855 Boyle County KyArchives Deed Written: June 9 1855 Recorded: June 9 1855 Deed Book 5, page 680 This Indenture made and entered into this 9th day of June One Thousand Eight Hundred and fifty five by and between John C. McGinnis and Delila McGinnis, his wife, of the first part, and James Gray and Thomas H. Gray of the second part, all of the county of Boyle and State of Kentucky, Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Two hundred and fifty five Dollars in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain, sell, alien and convey unto the said James M. Gray and Thomas H. Gray, and to their heirs and assigns one certain tract or parcel of land with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging, lying and being in the County of Boyle and State of Kentucky, adjoining the town of Perryville and bounded as follows, to wit, on the East and South by Mrs. Cynthia Tadlock and on the West by James M. Gray and Thos. H. Gray, containing three acres, be the same more or less, and all the estate, right, title and interest and fee of the said party of the first part of in and to the Same, to have and to hold the tract or parcel of land, with the appurteneances thereunto belonging unto the said party of the second part and to to their heirs and assigns to their only proper use benefit and behoof forever, and the said parties of the first part doth covenant and agree with the said parties of the second part and with their heirs and assigns that they will and that their heirs Executors and administrators shall warrant and forever defend the said tract or parcel of land, with all the appurtenances unto the said parties of the second part and to their heirs and assigns against the claims of all and every person whatsoever claiming the same. McGinnis and wife to James & Thomas H. Gray was this day produced to me by the parties thereto, which was acknowledged before me by the said J. C. McGinnis to be his act and deed, and the contents and effect of said instrument being by me explained to the said Delila J. McGinis separate and apart from her husband, she thereupon declared that she did freely & voluntarily execute and deliver the same to be her act and deed and consented that it might be recorded. Whereupon the same together with this certifcate hath been duly recorded in my office. Given under my hand this 9th day of June 1855. R. R.
