McGinnis December 21 1855 Boyle County KyArchives Deed Written: December 21 1855 Recorded: December 23 1855 Deed Book 6, page 101 This Indenture of Bargain & Sale made and entered into this 21st day of December 1855 between Willis G. McGinnis of the county of Boyle and State of Kentucky of the first part and Archie Cox of the County & State aforesaid of the second part, Witnesseth[underlined], That for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and eighty dollars to him in hand paid, the said Willis G. McGinnis of the first part, hath bargained and sold and by these presnts doth grant, bargain, sell, alien and convey unto the said Archie Cox of the second part all his right, title, interest and claim in and to a certain undivided tract or parcel of land, situate, lying and being in the County of Boyle & State of Kentucky and inherited by said Willis G. McGinnis from the Estate of his Father, Washington McGinnis deceased, and known as the Home tract on which said Washington McGinnis resided at the time of his death. To have and to hold unto the said Archie Cox, his heirs, Executors & assigns forever the said undivided interest in the said parcel or tract of land with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining. And the said Willis G. McGinnis for himself, heirs Executors & Administrators, doth covenant and agree to forever warrant defend the aforesaid undivided interest in the above tract of land, to him the said Archie Cox against the claims and demands of all persons whatsoever. In Testimony whereof the hath hereunto set his hand the day and date above. Interlined before signed. Willis Green McGinnis State of Kentucky Boyle County Sct. I, Richard R. Bolling, Clerk of the Boyle County Court, do certify that the foregoing instrument of writing from Willis G. McGinnis to Archie Cox was this day produced to me in my office by the parties and acknowledged by the said Willis G. McGinnis to be his act and deed and ordered to record.
