This Indenture of bargain and sale, made and entered into this 18th day of 
February 1856, between William H. McGinnis of the first part and J. G. Bibb 
both of Boyle County, Kentucky.  For and in consideration of the sum of Sixty 
five dollars in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the 
said W. H. McGinnis has this day sold and doth hereby convey unto said J. G. 
Bibb all of his individual interest in and to all of the Knob land lying in 
said County & State that belonged to Washington McGinnis, deceased, who is the 
father of said William H. McGinnis -- and the said William H. McGinnis doth 
covenant with the said J. G. Bibb, that he will forever warrant and defend the 
title to his interest in the above described land against the claims and 
demands of all other persons whatever.
In Witness Whereof, he has hereto set his hand this day and year aforesaid.

I, Richard R. Bolling, Clerk of the Boyle County Court, do certify that the 
foregoing instrument of writing from William H. McGinnis to J. G. Bibb was, on 
the 18th of February 1856, acknowledged before me, in my Office, by the said 
McGinnis to be his act & Deed, Whereupon, the Same, together with this 
certificate, is truly recorded in my office.  Given under my hand, this 4th day 
of March 1856.
