Henderson and William Tarkington, commissioners to divide and allot said land being present - we first proceeded to make a Survey of the cleared land, which is bounded as follows, viz. Beginning at a stake, corner to John Henderson, thence S9-3/4E 214-84/100 poles to a stone to Sidney Caldwells, thence East 240 [crossed out] 20-40/100 poles to a stone in said Caldwells line, thence S2E 24 poles to a stake, thence N79-1/2W 86-32/100 poles to a stake, thence S59-1/2W 28 poles to a stake, thence N79W [looks like a 7 was written over an 8, or vice versa] 27 poles to a stake in James Burditts line, thence N1E 24-61/100 poles to a Mulberry, corner in James E. Gillispie's line, thence East 41-32/100 poles to a stake, a corner to James E. Gillispie, thence N 6-1/2W 205-28/100 poles to a stake in Henderson's line, thence N88-1/4E 58-84/100 poles to the beginning, containing 98-1/2 acres. Gillispie, thence N1E 426-1/2 poles to the beginning ,containing220acres. April 2nd 1856 No. 1 is bounded as follows - viz - Beginning at a beech and Linn corner in James E. Gillispies line, thence S83E 95 poles to a stake near a sugartree, hickory and beech, thenc S3-1/2W 35 poles to two beeches and a Dogwood bush in John Clemmon's line, thence N89W 93-36/100 poles to a hickory bush in Gillispie thence N1E 42 poles to the beginning 2 2-12acres. No. 2 is bounded as follows - viz. Beginning at a hickory bush in James E. Gillispies line, thence S89E 93-36/100 poles to two beeches & a Dogwood, thence 3-1/2W 42 poles to a white oak bush, Dogwood and sugar tree bushes corner to No. 3 thence N89W 91 poles to a stake between[?] a sugar tree, red oak & Walnut in Gillispies line ???? same, thence N8E 42 poles to the beginning containing 24 acres & 34 Square poles.
