Owen Hocker - Et al McGinnis May 16 1864 Boyle County KyArchives Deed Written: May 16 1864 Recorded: May 16 1864 Deed Book 8, page 520 Whereas Sally Burdett filed her motion in the Boyle County Court against the widow & heirs of Washington McGinnis seeking the conveyance of a tract of land for which James Burdett held a title bond, and at the Apl Term of said Court 1864. The said Sally Burdett and James Burdett her husband requested said Deed to be made to Owen Hocker and, at the same time the undersigned having been appointed a Com'r to convey said lands to said Owen Hocker, for and on behalf of said widow and heirs, now for and in consideration of the premises aforesaid, I Jon'a. B. Nichols Com'r aforesaid for and on behalf of Lucy A. Paul, Margaret A. McGinnis, Felix McGinnis, Willis G. McGinnis, James T. McGinnis, W. H. McGinnis, Hezekiah McGinnis & John McGinnis, the widow the widow & heirs of Washington McGinnis hereby aliens and conveys to Owen Hocker the following tract of land in Boyle County and bounded as follows, Beginning at three Linn Trees. Thence N1-1/2E 116 poles to a Dogwood Thence S1W 116 poles. Thence S879E 38-60/100 poles to the beginning containing 24 acres 1 Rood & 24 poles and its appurtenances to have and to hold the same free from the contrast of all persons whatever.
