For and in consideration of the sum of Six hundred and fifty dollars, to be 
paid as follows: three hundred and fifty dollars of which is in hand paid, the 
receipt of which is acknowledged, and for the remaining three hundred dollars, 
Barnett Terhune has executed his note payable on the 1st day of January 1868, 
for the payment of which a lien is reserved upon the property hereinafter 
conveyed, We H. S. McGinnis and Carrie C. McGinnis his wife have this day 
bargained and Sold, aliened and conveyed to Barnett Terhune and his heirs and 
assigns forever, a certain house and lot situated in the town of Perryville, 
and known upon the plat of said town as lot No. One, and originally owned by 
Geo. Beswick dec'd and conveyed to the said H. S. McGinnis by W. D. Latimer and 
wife containing one half acre, be the same more or less, to have and to hold 
the same unto the said Barnett Terhune and his heirs and assigns forever, and 
the said McGinnis and wife hereby covenant to warrant and defend the title free 
from the claims of all persons whatever.  Witness our hands this 1st day of 
December 1866.

I, Jon'a. B. Nichols Clerk of the Boyle County Court, do certify, that the 
foregoing Deed, duly Stamped as required by Act of Congress was, this day 
acknowledged by H. S. McGinnis and Carrie C. McGinnis his wife in due form of 
law and the same hath been duly recorded in my office.  Given under my hand 
this 1st day of December 1866.
