Witness: That for and in consideration of the sum of Fifteen Hundred Dollars (Four Hundred & twenty Five Dollars in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged and Three Hundred & Seventy- Five Dollars secured by note dated the 12th of April 1867 and due twelve months after date and the balance of seven hundred dollars secured by note dated the 12th of April 1867 and due Three years after date with interest from date and to secure which said notes a lien is reserved on the property herein conveyed) I Francis Parr of the town of Danville and the state of Kentucky have this day bargained and sold and by these present doth bargain sell alien and convey unto Richard Parr(colored) and the same place the house and land to me from Joseph Jackson and Sarah his wife- being and lying on the south side of Walnut Street and adjoining lot of James Garnet on the west and on the east by the lot Mrs. Sarah Welch fronting(100) One hundred feet on said Walnut Street and running back (167) One Hundred and Sixty-Seven feet to the same more or less- With all its pertaining thereto belonging: To have and to hold the same to the said Richard Parr his heirs and assigns forever and the said Francis Parr does hereby covenant that she will forever warrant and defend the title to the above described House & lot of ground and or, pertaining against the claims or claims of all persons whatsoever-- In Witness whereof I Francis Parr have hereto sign my hand this 12th day of April 1867- Fanny Parr State of Kentucky Boyle County Scl I, Jon a B. Nichols clerk of the Boyle County Court do certify that the foregoing deed duly stamped as required by act of congress was this day acknowledged by Fanny Parr to be her act and deed and the same has been duly recorded in my office.
