A. Dalton Esq Bat Cave NC Dear Sir, Yours of the 5th was recieved in due time. Contents all safe. Wm Gilliam has contracted with tme for my interest in the Bald Mountain and says for Aunt Mary to tell Miss Callie howdy for him. He has been sick with a bad cold, but is gone to work again at the factory. I think he is a little like myself. Satisfied any where he goes. He has been at several dances during this cold weather and that is the cause of him taking cold. Bill seems to be a grate favorite with all the boys as well as the girls. Sallie has been very sick for a month but is now able to walk about in the house. All the balance of us is well except bad colds. We have had a heep of very cold weather here ever since before Christmas. As Bill is sending some word to his girl, I must send some to mine. You give my best regards to Mary Lewis as she lives some where near you on the mountain. Also any of the rest of my old sweet hearts. Offer my best wishes to you and all the family. Yours truly Wm Murphy ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ ************************************************************************ USGENWEB ARCHIVES NOTICE: These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by any other organization or persons.
