Born Sept. 6, 1939, in Elmwood, Ohio, he was the son of Mae Virginia Fredrick Adams of Danville and the late Carl Adams. He was a self-employed tree trimmer and had formerly worked on high power lines in Indiana. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Additional survivors include his wife, Imogene Milner Adams of Kings Mountain; a son, Timmy Adams of Yosemite; three daughters, Tammy Cornett of Junction City, Pam Ryan of Stanford and Sandy Combs of Eubank; three sisters, Sue Houp, Violet Rogers and Beverly Langford, all of Danville; four brothers, Jimmy C. and Mike Adams, both of Danville, Freddie Adams of New Durham, N.H., and Roger Adams of Kings Mountain; and six grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Stith Funeral Home by the Rev. Eddie Dye. Burial will be in Grove Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, Casey County. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Monday.
