RECORDS: Arthur Franklin Boyd Funeral Notice, Boyle County, KY, 2001 ---------------------------------- Submitted by: Sherri Hall Date: 31 Dec 2001 ---------------------------------- From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 17 Dec 2001 Services for Arthur Franklin Boyd, 80, of Boyd Avenue will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Stith Funeral Home by Larry Barker and Scott Vifquain. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. He died Saturday at Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation. Born Sept. 21, 1921, in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Columbus A. and Leona J. Taylor Boyd. He was a former manager of Boyle Lumber Co. and an assistant at Stith Funeral Home. He served in the Navy during World War II and was a member of Church of Christ. He was a Kentucky Colonel. Survivors include his wife, Bessie Wade Boyd; three sons, Larry F. Boyd of Brentwood, Tenn., Arthur F. "Junie' Boyd Jr. of Parksville, and Dennis W. Boyd of Louisville; a brother, Edward A. Boyd of Danville; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
