Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. He died Wednesday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Arnetta Smith Butler. Born Sept. 22, 1943, in Boyle County, he was the son of the late Clealen and Annie LouAllen Butler. He was a painter, an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and a member of the Magnolia Street Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, Arnetta Smith Butler; two stepsons, Keith and Wayne Taylor, both of Mercer County; a brother, William J. Butler of Boyle County; two sisters, Shirley Gregory and Wanda Isham, both of Harrodsburg; six step grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Terry Gregory, Ronnie Butler, Mike Butler, Randy Butler, James Groce and Joe Monroe. Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today and after 7 a.m. Friday. Memorials may go to the Right to Life of Central Kentucky, the American Cancer Society, or the WDFB Christian Radio in Danville.
