Born July 1, 1906, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Clay W. and Lauri Lamb Southerland. She was a homemaker and a member of Parksville Baptist Church. She was the widow of Claude F. Burger. Survivors include four sons, Robert Burger of Danville, Alton Burger of Moreland, Claude F. Burger Jr. of Gravel Switch and Marvin Burger of Cincinnati; five daughters, Zula Wilson, Ruth Cooley and Christine Warren, all of Danville, Lucille Trailor of Russell Springs and Zora Pike of Booneville, Miss; 31 grandchildren; several great-grand- children; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Louise Burger. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Stanley Young and J.R. Fields. Burial will be in Parksville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may go to Boyle County Meals on Wheels Program.
