Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery with military rites by Battlefield Post 301, American Legion. He died Wednesday at Charleston Health Care Center. Born Oct. 19, 1920, in Mitchellsburg he was a son of the late T.H. and Susie Montgomery Browning. He was a retired lineman foreman with Kentucky Utilities. He served in the Navy during World War II and was a member of Mitchellsburg Baptist Church, American Legion Post 46, Veterans of Foreign Wars and AmVets. He also was a member of Franklin Lodge 28 where he served as past master, Perryville Order of Eastern Star and Oleika Shrine Temple. Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Roth Browning; two daughters, Regina Gibson of Harrodsburg and Kathy Austin of Lancaster; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
