Jimmy Owens. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. She died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born Oct. 8, 1915, in Perryville, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Susie Carstensen Bottoms. She was a member of Perryville United Methodist Church, where she had been a Sunday School teacher, youth director and a member of the Women's Guild. She was the widow of Jess Brummett. Survivors include a son, Jerry Brummett of Perryville; two brothers, Cecil Bottom of Louisville and Robert Bottoms of Perryville;two sisters, Dora Taylor and Lenna Curtis, both of Louisville; three grandchildren; two step grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and five step great- grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Mike, Joe, Derek, Jeremy and Casey Brummett, and Taylor and Hagen McCarty. Honorary pallbearers are Nikki Brummett and Sharon McCarty. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at the church. Memorials may go to the church building fund. W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
