Richard Hill. Burial will be in Hilldale Cemetery. He died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born Feb. 21, 1921, in Boyle County, he was the son of the late Alonzo and Lizzie Carpenter. He was a farmer, horseman, and a member of First Baptist Church, Second and Walnut streets. Survivors include his wife, Eugenia Carpenter; five daughters, Brenda and Patricia Carpenter and Bonita Harris, all of Stanford, Janice Edwards of Nicholasville, and Teresa Carpenter of Louisville; two brothers, Alonzo Carpenter Jr. of Lexington and Hubert Carpenter of Lone Jack, Mo.; a sister, Pauline Guest of Danville; seven grand- children; and eight great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Samuel and Richard Meaux, Ronnie Wilkerson, William Carpenter, and Felix and Louis Ross. Honorary pallbearers are Thomas and John Bright, Glenn Pevler, Freddie Browning, Sandy Smock, Jeri Lister, and Drs. Finley Hendrickson and John Arnold. Visitation will be 11 a.m. -1 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Smith-Jackson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
