FARNSWORTH
	Mrs. Elizabeth Farnsworth, one of the most venerable and blessed women 
of the community passed to her reward Friday evening about 7:15 o'clock, after 
several years of semi-invalidism from the infirmities of age, Mrs. Farnsworth 
was born in Boyle county in 1833, her parents being Samuel and Ann Hall 
Davenport. At the age of 16 she married Mr. H. H. Farnsworth, of Johnstown, N. 
Y. In 1858 they moved to Harrodsburg and here Mrs. Farnsworth has spent her 
long and useful life. She has been a devoted and consecrated member of St. 
Philip's Episcopal church, never tiring in her unselfish work for the good of 
her faith. Both Mr. and Mrs. Farnsworth helped to build the Episcopal church. 
Mrs. Farnsworth contributing and helping to raise funds, and Mr. Farnsworth, 
in addition to his assistance in that way, also gave his labor. With 
unobtrusive generosity Mrs. Farnsworth has been always ready to help those in 
need, or to give her sympathy and love to any who were in distress. Her whole 
life has earned for her the reward of the faithful, and many have sorrowed 
with the family in their loss, and will keep a beautiful memory of her life. 
Her funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, in the Episcopal church 
which she loved so devotedly. Her rector, Rev. H. D. Martin, read the 
impressive service, and Dr. McIntire, of the Methodist church, offered a 
beautiful prayer. Many lovely flowers were grouped about the alter, sent as 
loving tributes from her friends. The burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery 
beside her husband and three children who have gone before. The surviving 
children are Mr. Thomas M. Farnsworth, Mrs. Annie Wigham, Mrs. George Bonta 
and Miss Mary Farnsworth. Her niece, Miss Mary Davenport, of Lexington, and 
her grandson, Mr. T. M. Farnsworth, of Louisville, came to attend the funeral.
