She died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born June 29, 1922, in Fort Wayne, Ind., she was the daughter of the Late Joseph G. and Pearl Easterdoch Hayes. She was a homemaker and a member of the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center Auxilary and was named volunteer of the year in 1995. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and The Presbyterian Church, a volunteer for the Tee Cup Golf Tournament, and a business school graduate. Survivors include her husband, John C. Hays of Danville; and a daughter, Nancy J. Hays of Danville. Visitation will be after the service in the church fellowship hall. Memorials may go to the McDowell hospital auxiliary and Oleika Shriners Children Hospital, Lexington. Stith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
