Hudson, 87, of Jefferson City, Tenn., died Tuesday. Born Dec. 31, 1914, he was a retired farmer, and a teacher, coach and principal. He also was a crop hail adjuster for 54 years, past president of Jefferson City Lions Club and District Governor of Lions Club International. He was an elder and member of First Presbyterian Church in Jefferson City and the widower of Marjorie Cates Hudson. Survivors include a son, John W. Hudson Jr. of Danville; five daughters, Jane E. Hudson, Libby Gardner, Mala Skeen and Marjorie Helton, all of Jefferson City, and Julia A. Warren of Centerville, Va.; a brother, Floyd N. Hudson; three sisters, Dorothy Walker, Jenny Quarles and Betty Jo Kinnick; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Services will be 8 p.m. Friday at Farrar Funeral Home, Jefferson City. Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Westview Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday.
