Hayden, 106, of Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation will be 1 p.m. Thursday at St. James AME Church by the Rev. Kenneth Clay. Burial will be in Hilldale Cemetery. He died Sunday. Born June 3, 1896, in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Austin and Carey Hayden. He was a farmer and a member of St. James AME Church, where he was a stewart and trustee. He was a member of Doric Lodge 18 and was the lodge's oldest member in Kentucky. Survivors include a brother, James Ezart Hayden of Indianapolis; and his caregiver, James Howard Johnson. Pallbearers will be Kim Johnson, Samuel Meaux, Howard Clark, Albert Taylor, Cecil Ford and William Jenkins. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Thursday until time of service. Smith-Jackson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
