Born May 16, 1934, in Danville, he was a son of the late Claude R. and Rachel Hughes Hill. He was a graduate of Danville High School and was a graduate of Chattanooga State Technical College. He was retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad in Chattanooga. He was a Air Force staff sergeant during the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Donna Evans Hill; a daughter, Katherine Cramer; a son, Kerry J. Hill of Soddy/Daisy; a brother, Donald A. Hill of Danville; two sisters, Nancy Goodlett of Middletown, and Mildred Rousey of Moreland; and four grandchildren. Private services will be held in Soddy/Daisy. Burial will be in the National Cemetery, Chattanooga.
