Obituary of Melvin Honaker, 2002, Boyle Co. & TN

COLUMBIA, Tenn.-- Melvin Honaker, 51, of the Bear Creek Community died 
Thursday at Maury Regional Hospital.

Born in Boyle County, he was the son of the late Clayton F. and Margaret 
Beatrice Davis Honaker. He was an automotive repair shop owner and a 
former employee of Kusan-Aeroquip Co. He was a member of Cross Keys 
Baptist Church and attended House of Prayer Church.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa D. Owens Honaker; a son, Chris 
Johnson of Junction City; two daughters, Stephanie Honaker of Columbia 
and Michelle Leonard of Junction City; eight sisters, Marie Hawes of 
Bethesda, Tenn., Mary Matherly and Lucy Hamilton, both of Danville, 
Barbara Whitfield of Dickson, Tenn., Nancy Keith of Junction City, 
Priscilla McCarson of Dickson, Tenn., Sylvia Johnson of Franklin, 
Tenn., and Carol Johnson of Frankfort; a brother, Basil Honaker of 
Dickson; and four grandchildren.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Williams Columbia Funeral Home 
by John W. House and Donald Pruitt. Burial will be in Polk Memorial 
Gardens.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 4-8 p.m. Saturday.
