From the Danville Advocate-Messenger, 25 Feb 2002 Philip David Jones, 73, of Linda Avenue died Sunday at Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation. Born Oct. 6, 1928, in Owingsville, he was the son of the late John W. and Pearl M. Pergram Jones. He was a machine shop operator for Square D. He also was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of Hedgeville Baptist Church, and a former member of Lexington Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Marie Littral Jones; a son, Phillip D. Jones Jr. of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Bonnie Winfield of Harrodsburg and Janet McGregor of Springfield; two brothers, William H. Hones and J.D. Jones, both of Sanford, Fla.; a sister, Margaret Smith of Austin, Texas; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
