RECORDS: Ray Kettles Funeral Notice, Boyle County, KY, 2001 ---------------------------------- Submitted by: Sherri Hall Date: 31 Dec 2001 ---------------------------------- From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 26 Dec 2001 Services for Ray Kettles, 90, of Lebanon Road will be 10 a.m. Friday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Mark Payton. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. He died Monday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born Nov. 9, 1911, in Monroe County, he was the son of the late Joel and Lydia Smalling Kettles. He was a retired foreman for Sellers Engineering, attended Gethsemane Baptist Church, and was the widower of Mazie L. Wilkerson Kettles. Survivors include two sons, Jeff Kettles of Harrodsburg and Richard Kettles of Danville; four daughters, Linda Alford of Campbellsville, Madge Bailey of Bowling Green, Carolyn Douglas of Junction City and Jozette Hayes of Danville; two brothers, Floyd and Cloyd Kettles, both of Glasgow; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Zane Morgan, Buford Powell, Michael Douglas, Dale Porter, Doug Russell and Warren Caldwell. Honorary pallbearers are Drs. Shakeela Bux, Madar Bux and Mohammad Shazad, Nora Johnson, Aileen and Chasti McCowan, Tom Bailey and Jam Alford.
