Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens with military rites by Caswell Saufley Post 18 of the American Legion. He died Wednesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born Dec. 7, 1936, in McCreary County, he was the son of Frona Keith Kirkman of Cincinnati and the late Bernard a Kirkman. He was a truck driver with Usher Transport, an Air Force veteran, and a member of Eubank Ruritan Club. Other survivors include his wife, Judy Burkhart Kirkman; a daughter, Sharon Powers of Goshen, Ohio; a brother, Ronald Kirkman of Cincinnati; and three grandchildren. Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today at the church. Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
