From the Danville Advocate-Messenger, 21 Feb 2002 Services for Bessie M. Hogue Bugg Poor, 85, of Alpine Ala., formerly of Danville, will be 1 p.m. Friday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Bill Hall. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. She died Tuesday at Talladega Health Center, Talladega, Ala. Born Aug. 29, 1916, in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Betty Price Hogue. She was the widow of Woodrow Poor and was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty C. Bugg. She was a retired Palm Beach employee and a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Sue Bugg Robertson of Alpine; a sister, Edith Bodner of Stanford; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Friday.
