Born Dec. 21, 1934, in Danville, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Ovie Chambers McElroy. She was a homemaker, a member of Salvation Army Church and the widow of Charles Preston Jr. Survivors include a son, Robert Preston of Hickory, N.C.; two sisters, Mary Gamble of Garland, Texas, and Marla Preston of Lancaster; six brothers, Kenneth, Gilbert and Paul McElroy, all of Stanford, Bobby and Johnny McElroy, both of Danville and Edgar McElroy of Lancaster; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Elsie Saville. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home. Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Saturday.
