Virginia Gritton Preston, 80, of Pine Hill Drive died Tuesday at her home.

Born April 21, 1921, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late 
Floyd and Crecia Stratton Gritton. She was a former instructor and 
seamstress at Palm Beach Co., and a member and former Sunday School 
teacher at Junction City Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Charles A. Preston; a daughter, Jane G. 
Preston of Danville; a brother, Maurice Gritton of Danville; and two 
sisters, Mabel Shewmaker of Harrodsburg and Rosalyn Whitenack of 
Mercer County.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the 
Rev. Ernest Martin. Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
