Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado. She died Tuesday at Golden Years Nursing Home in Monticello. Born Nov. 27, 1896, in Climbing Hills, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late John R. and Frendie Woods Hewitt. She was the widow of George Porter. She is survived by a grandson, Serigo Porter of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and two great-grandchildren, Sherri Thompson of Monticello and David Thompson of Wahiawa, Hawaii. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Porter, and a daughter, Dorothy Thompson. Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home handled local arrangements.
