Born Feb. 17, 1926, in Bloomington, Ill., he was the son of the late William M. and Eva King Roller. He was a retired switchman for Norfolk Southern Corp. and an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mary Josephine Clarkson Roller; a son, Ronald Roller of Danville; five sisters, Edith Clarkson, Sue Bugg and Carol Johnson, all of Danville, Shirley Engle of Parksville and Brenda Muncy of Lexington. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Revs. Harley Humfleet and Bill Hall. Burial will be in Taylor-Clarkson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Wilcher, Karl Luttrell, Glenn Caddell, Donald Westerfield, Jim Hines and Jeff Sparks. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Senior Men's Sunday School Class and members of the Retired Railway and Veterans Club. Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today. Memorials may go to Heritage Hospice or a favorite charity.
