From the Danville Advocate-Messenger, 20 Feb 2002 LIBERTY -- Daril V. Salyers, 64, of Junction City died Monday at his home. Born July 6, 1937, in Casey County, he was the son of Vencil and Margie Crockett Salyers. He was a self-employed carpenter. Survivors include three daughters, Teresa Brown and Lisa Emerson, both of Somerset, and Tammy Goodpaster of Stanford; a sister, Geneva Stanford of Liberty; a brother, Curtis Saylers of Ohio; and three grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Burial will be in Salyers Cemetery. Visitation is after 6 p.m. today. Memorials may go to Salyers Cemetery Fund.
