Henry Robert "Bob" Sims, 81, of Mark Avenue died Wednesday at Ephraim 
McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born May 24, 1920, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late John 
J. and Minerva Mason Sims. 

He was a retired welder, a member of Faith Temple Pentecostal Church 
of God, and an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Grubbs Sims; a son, Carl Sims of 
Danville; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was 
preceded in death by a son, Robert D. Sims, and a daughter, Susan Smith.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by 
the Rev. Jolene Bailey. 

Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery with military rites by Caswell 
Saufley Post 18 of the American Legion.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday.
