"Buddy" Singleton, 52, of Perryville will be 2 p.m. Friday at Wilder Funeral Home by George Smith. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. He died Wednesday in Lexington. Born Sept. 19, 1949, in Boyle County, he was the son of Thelma Green Singleton of Junction City and the late Charles A. Singleton Sr. He was a retired Norfolk Southern Railway employee and a veteran of the Marine Corps. Other survivors include his wife, Gail Adkins Singleton; a daughter, Gretchen Singleton Jackson of Lexington; a son, Jeffrey G. Singleton of Lexington; a sister, Brenda Penn of Indiana; a brother, Michael D. Singleton of Forkland; and a grandchild. Pallbearers will be Cleo Taylor, Harvey Bottoms, Allen Edwards, Mike Lankford, and Darrell and Randy Preston. Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today Memorials may go to the American Diabetes Association and National Kidney Foundation.
