Dudley Taft June 4 2002 Boyle County KyArchives Obituaries Danville Advocate Messenger, 5 Jun 2002 Services for John Jupin, 91, of Lebanon Road will be 1 p.m. Friday at Preston- Pruitt Funeral Home by Thad Eubank. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. He died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born March 31, 1911, in Stonega, Va., he was the son of the late Mike and Maria Kichina Jupin. He had been a coal minor in Mayberry, W.Va., for 26 years and was a retired employee of Kentucky State Hospital where he worked for 18 years. Survivors include his wife, Hettie Mae Cook Jupin; two daughters, Helen Blevins of Danville and Anna Mae Worthington of Parksville; a son, John Jupin Jr. of Abilene, Texas; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Irvin Worthington Jr., Brad Wilson, Johnny and Gary Worthington, Roger Gilpin and Travis Carroll. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday.
