Mary Magdeline Tankersley, 76, Shearin Avenue, formerly of Carpenter's 
Creek Road, died Thursday at home.

Born July 3, 1925, in Albany, she was the daughter of the late John
and Judy Belle Stockton Reeder. She was a homemaker and retired farmer, 
a member of the Methodist Church and the widow of Harold J. Tankersley.

Survivors include two daughters, Judy Rice and Mary Hreha, both of 
Danville; a stepson, Ronald G. Tankersley of Destin, Fla.; two brothers, 
Willie A. Reeder of New Castle, Ind., and Herman Reeder of Indiana; a 
sister, Christine Tankersley of Beckley, W.V.; three grandchildren; 
two step grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. 

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by 
Gary Story. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials may go to Heritage Hospice or Senior Citizens Center.
