John R. Johnson. Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery. He died Wednesday in Danville. Born Nov. 5, 1943, in Buffalo, N.Y., he was a son of the late Donald E. and Erma June Cook White. He was a retired dairy farmer and a carrier for the Courier-Journal. He attended Cornell University. Survivors include his wife, Mary Helton White; a son, Roger N. White of Ellenboro, N.C.; a daughter, Barbara Mull of Bostic, N.C.; a stepsister, Susan Cornwell of Buffalo; and two grandsons. Pallbearers will be Drew, Justin and Tim Roach, Tom and Tim Johnson, Kevin Cochran, Gary Gorley and Jerry Germann. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Saturday.
