Edwin Waits, 79, of Beech Street died Wednesday at Ephraim McDowell 
Regional Medical Center.

Born Sept. 6, 1923, in Boyle County, he was the son of the late 
Luther and Florence Chambers Waits. He was a welder for Sellers 
Engineering Co. and a member of Bluegrass Pike Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Waits; a sister, Elizabeth 
Chambers of Corbin; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in 
death by a daughter, Patsy Clay.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Stith Funeral Home. Burial 
will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Friday.

Memorials may go to the American Cancer Society.
