Born Jan. 18, 1917, in Honaker, Va., he was the son of the late Charles and Corrie Johnson Wallace. He was a former teacher for the Veterans Administration and a retired clerk for Durham Hardware. He was a graduate of Parksville High School and the University of Kentucky. He also was a member of Franklin Lodge 28 F&AM where he had served as secretary for more than 25 years, all York Rite bodies, Eastern Star and Knights of Pythias. He was a member and elder of the former Caldwell Presbyterian Church and was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include a brother, Roy Wallace of Stanford. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Bellevue Cemetery by the Rev. Ivan Shelburne. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. and an Eastern Star service at 7:30 p.m.
