Beginning at a Sugartree at the corner of a cleared field then South 22° W. 155 poles to a Gum in the Original line, then with the same North 67° 12' West 214 poles to two ash and elm trees on the North side of a branch a corner to the original survey then with the line of said survey North 22° East 151 poles to an ask and hickory on the West side of a small Branch, corner to Spencer Records thence with said Records line South 68°16' E. 214 poles to the Beginning being a part of a survey No. [blank] made for [blank] Blackwell, and left John Alexander, Andrew Alexander, Samuel Pilson, Dorcas his wife, William Hollis and Martha his wife, Peggy Alexander, Samuel Masters and Elizabeth his wife, James S. Weems and Eliza his wife his legal heirs and representatives. And whereas the said Peggy Alexander for valuable consideration relinquished her interest in said estate to the other heirs, by virtue of which relinquishment each of the other heirs became entitled to the undivided one sixth part, and whereas the said James S. Weems and wife did by and duly recorded, sell and convey unto Elizabeth Alexander their Interest in the said land who has sold the same Samuel Masters and now wishes to convey. Therefore, This Indenture made this 7th day of July in the year 1826 between the said Elizabeth Alexander of the county of Mason and State of Kentucky of the one part and Samuel Masters of the same place of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Elizabeth Alexander for and in consideration of the [sum] of one hundred and Seventy dollars to her in hand paid by the said Samuel Masters the receipt whereof she doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained and sold aliened, enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto the said Samuel Masters his heirs Exor's and administrators forever a certain tract or parcel of land being the undivided sixth part of the before mentioned tract of land and premises, together with all and singular the privileges, advantages and emolluments thereunto belonging or therefrom arising. To have and to hold the said estate hereby conveyed to the only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said Samuel Masters his heirs Exor's and adm's forever. And the said Elizabeth Alexander for herself her heirs, Exor's and adm's doth covenant and agree with the said Samuel Masters his heirs, Exor's and adm's that she has in said land a good estate of inheritance with full and complete power and authority to sell and convey the same in fee simple that the same is now free and clear of all incumbrances whatever, and that she will warrant and forever defend the title and possession of the same to him the said Samuel Masters his heirs Exor's and adm's free and clear of and from the legal claim and demand of all and every person or persons whatsoever. In Testimony whereof the said Elizabeth Alexander hath hereunto set her hand and affixed her seal the date above. Elizabeth (her + mark) Alexander (L.S.) Kentucky, Bracken County Sct. Before the subscribers Justices of the peace in & for the county aforesaid personally appeared Elizabeth Alexander the grantor in the foregoing deed to Samuel Masters and acknowledged the same to be her free and voluntary act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned. Given under our hands and Seals this 7th day of July 1826. Arthur Thome (L.S.) Francis Wells (L. S.) Kentucky, Bracken County Sct. I John Payne clerk of the Court for the County aforesaid do hereby certify that Francis Wells and Arthur Thome Esqs. whose signatures are attached to the foregoing certificate and before whom the foregoing deed from Elizabeth Alexander to Samuel Masters appears to have been acknowledged now are and were at the date of said certificate and acknowledgement acting Justices of the peace in and for said County of Bracken duly commissioned and sworn to all whose official acts as such full faith and credit is and ought to be given as well in courts of Justice as there out. In Testimony whereof I have caused this deed to be duly recorded in my office and affixed the seal of the same this 7th day of July 1826. John Payne Kentucky, Bracken County Sct.
