Beginning at Boyces corner in Tabbs line at a white oak and hickory, thence West one hundred and Seventy nine and two thirds poles to Greggs East corner a white oak and black oak marked A.G., thence North Ninety Six poles to a white oak and black oak in Donovans line, thence South fifty nine degrees East, fifty Seven poles to a Stake, thence North Sixty two degrees East Seventy one poles to two hickories, thence South to the Beginning, left John Alexander, Andrew Alexander, Samuel Pilson and Dorcas his wife, William Hollis and Martha his wife, Samuel Masters and Elizabeth his wife, Margaret Alexander, James S. Weems and Elizabeth his wife his legal heirs and representatives, and whereas the said John Alexander and Jennet his wife, Andrew Alexander and Nancy his wife, Samuel Pilson and Dorcas his wife, William Hollis and Martha his wife, Samuel Masters and Elizabeth his wife, Margaret Alexander, James S. Weems and Elizabeth his wife and Elizabeth Alexander have Sold the above described land unto William Elliott and now wish to convey. Therefore This Indenture made this 15th day of January in the year 1829 between the Said Andrew Alexander and Nancy his wife of the County of Adams and State of Ohio, and John Alexander and Jennet his wife, Samuel Pilson and Dorcas his wife, Samuel Masters and Elizabeth his wife of the County of Brown and State aforesaid, and William Hollis and Martha his wife, Margaret Alexander and James S. Weems and Elizabeth his wife and Elizabeth Alexander of the County of Bracken and State of Kentucky of the one part and William Elliott of the County of Bracken and State of Kentucky of the other part, Witnesseth That the Said John Alexander and Jennet his wife, Andrew Alexander and Nancy his wife, Samuel Pilson and Dorcas his wife, Samuel Masters and Elizabeth his wife, William Hollis and Martha his wife and Margaret Alexander, James S. Weems and Elizabeth his wife and Elizabeth Alexander, for and in consideration of the Sum of One thousand five hundred and Sixty dollars to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained sold aliened and confirmed, and by these presents doth grant, bargain and Sell, alien and confirm unto the Said William Elliott his heirs Ex'ors and Adm's forever the above described tract or parcel of land and premises together with all and Singular the privileges, advantages and emoluments thereunto belonging and to hold the Said Estate hereby conveyed to the only proper use benefit and behoof of him the Said William Elliott his heirs Ex'ors and Adm's forever and that the premises are now free and clear of all incumbrances whatever and that the Said John Alexander and Jennet his wife, Andrew Alexander and Nancy his wife, Samuel Pilson and Dorcas his wife, Samuel Masters and Elizabeth his wife, William Hollis and Martha his wife and Margaret Alexander, James S. Weems and Elizabeth his wife and Elizabeth Alexander will warrant and forever defend the title and possession of the Same to him the Said William Elliott his heirs, Ex'ors and Adm's free and clear of and from the legal claim of all and every person or persons whatsoever. This day John Alexander, Andrew Alexander and Samuel Masters, personally came before me a Justice of the Peace of Said County and acknowledged the signing and Sealing and delivering of the within deed to be their act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned. Also at the same time came Jennet wife of Said John Alexander, Nancy the wife of the Said Andrew Alexander, and Elizabeth wife of the Said Samuel Masters, who being made acquainted with the contents of Said conveyance, and being by me examined Separate and apart from their Said husbands declared that they Signed, Sealed, and as their acts and deeds delivered and relinquished their right of Dower freely, voluntarily and of their own accord without any coercion or compulsion of their Said husbands for the purposes therein mentioned. Given under my hand and Seal this 15th day of January A.D. 1829. Francis Alexander, Justice of the peace State of Ohio, Brown County, Sct. Appeared before me the undersigned a Justice of the peace in and for the County aforesaid the within named Samuel Pilson who did acknowledge the within Signing and Sealing to be his act and deed for the purposes therein named and at the Same time appeared Dorcas Pilson wife to the Said Samuel Pilson and being Separate and apart from her Said husband I made known to her the full contents of the within conveyance, and She did acknowledge the within Signing and Sealing to be her act and deed for the purposes therein contained, and relinquished her right of Dower to the Same, without any coercion or compulsion of her Said husband, as witness my hand and Seal this 16th day of January 1829. James Moore Justice of the peace State of Kentucky Bracken County, January 19th 1829 This deed of bargain and Sale from John Alexander and Jennet his wife, Andrew Alexander and Nancy his wife, Samuel Masters and Elizabeth his wife, Samuel Pilson and Dorcas his wife, William Hollis and Martha his wife, James S. Weems and Elizabeth his wife and Margaret Alexander, To William Elliott, was this day received in my Office together with the certificates of authentication thereon endorsed, and acknowledged by the Said William Hollis, James S. Weems and Margaret Alexander to be their acts and deeds for the purposes therein mentioned. And the Said Martha Hollis and Elizabeth Weems being examined by me privily and apart from their husbands, declared that they did freely and willingly Seal and deliver the Said writing and wish not to retract it, and acknowledged the Said writing again, Shewn and explained to them, to be their acts and deeds and content that the Same may be recorded. And on the 20th day of January 1829, the Signing and acknowledging of Said deed by the Said John Alexander, Andrew Alexander, Samuel Masters and Samuel Pilson, was proved in my office by the oaths of William D. Rhodes and Roddy Breckinridge, two of the Subscribing witnesses thereto, and ordered to be recorded, which is duly done. Attest.
