Witnesseth that the sd. Margaret Alexander for & in Consideration of the sum of one Thousand Dollars to her in hand paid the receipt whereof she doth hereby acknowledge have granted Bargained sold & delivered & do by these presents grant bargain sell & deliver to the said Frederick Alexander his heirs & assigns forever a certain Tract or parcel of land situate lying & Being in the County & state afores'd. on the waters of Locust Creek known by the name of Stout's place Containing one hundred acres & Bounded as follows as follows [sic] To wit Beginning at a Beech tree near the mill pond on the west side thereof & down the same & along the mill race & on the West side thereof & as it meanders to a stone near the mill on the N.W. side thereof, from thence N 72° W 104 pls. to a stone thence S. 74½ W. 64½ poles to a red & white oak Trees thence S. 1½ E. 106½ pls. to a white oak Doniphans Corner from thence with a straight line to sd. place of Beginning, Including all & singular appurnances [sic] thereunto belong or in any wise appertaining thereunto to have & to hold the sd. tract of land unto the said Frederick Alexander his heirs & assigns forever to the only proper use benefit & behoof of him the sd. Frederick Alexander his heirs & assigns forever & the sd. Margaret Alexander for herself & for her heirs & the afores'd. land & premises unto the sd. Frederick Alexander his heirs & assigns will Warrant & forever defend in fee simple against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons Whatsoever. In Testimony whereof she the sd. Margaret Alexander hath hereunto set her hand and affixed her seal on the date & year above written. Margaret (her x mark) Alexander Attest O. H. Browning Bracken County, November 5th 1928. This Deed of bargain & sale from Margaret to Frederick Alexander was this day produced in my office & being acknowledged by said Margaret to be her act & deed for the purposes contained therein was ordered to be recorded which is duly done.
