All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ky/kyfiles.html ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Linda Deppner http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00012.html#0002870 January 20, 2011, 10:26 pm Written: December 29, 1812 Recorded: December 29, 1812 Bracken County, Kentucky Deed Book D, pages 298-299 Stout to Alexander - Deed This Indenture made this 29th day of Dec. in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight Hundred and Twelve Between John Stout & Rhode his wife of the County of Bracken & State of Kentucky of the one part & William & Gabriel Alexander of the County of of [sic] Mason & State of Kentucky of the other part Witnesseth that the said Job Stout & Rhode his wife for and in consideration of the sum of Sixteen Hundred and fifteen dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge have Granted Bargained Sold & Delivered and do by these presents Grant Bargain Sell & deliver unto the said William & Gabriel Alexander their heirs & Assigns one certain Tract or parcel of Land Situate lying and being in the County of Bracken and State afsd. on the waters of Locust Creek Containing one hundred fifteen acres and Sixty poles & Bounded as follows (to wit) Beginning at a stone formerly an ash and Buckeye in Tabbs line from thence with Said line South ten degrees west one Hundred thirteen & one half poles to a Lynn thence West One hundred fifty six & one half poles to a white oak, Donovans Corner thence with his line North two degrees west one hundred Six and one half poles to a red Oak & white oak thence North Seventy four degrees East Sixty four poles to a Stone thence South Seventy two degrees East One hundred & Seven poles to a stone thence North Eighteen degrees west Sixteen poles to a stone thence to said place of Beginning Including all woods ways, waters & watercourses and Improvements thereon Standing growing & being & likewise all the right tittle Interest Claim & Demand whatsoever of them the said Job Stout & Rhode his wife of in & to the premises or any part thereof to have & to hold the afsd. land & premises unto the said William & Gabriel Alexander their heirs & Assigns forever to the only proper use benefit & Behoof of them the sd. William & Gabriel Alexander their heirs and Assigns & they the said Job Stout & Rhode his wife for themselves & for their heirs & the afsd. Land & premises unto the Said William & Gabriel Alexander their heirs & assigns will warrant & forever Defend in fee simple against the Claim or Claims of all & Every other person or persons whatsoever in Witness Whereof they the sd. Job Stout & Rhode his wife have hereunto Set their hands & Affixed their Seals on the day & year first above written. Signed Sealed & Delivered in presence, Job Stout (Seal) Rhode Stout (Seal) Bracken County, Dec. 29th 1812 This Deed of Bargain & Sale from Job Stout & Rhode his wife to William & Gabriel Alexander was this day acknowledged before me by the said Job Stout & Rhode his wife she being privately Examined freely and voluntarily without persuations or threats of her said husband relinquished her right of Dower to the premises within conveyed and desired the same to be recorded which is duly done.
