State of Kentucky, Bracken County} On this 15th day of May, A.D. one thousand eight hundred and seventy one, personally appeared before me.....FRANCIS McCLEAN, aged 82 years, a resident of Germantown, County of Bracken, and State of Kentucky who...declares that he is unmarried; that his wife's name was FENTON BURTON to whom he was married in Mason Co. Ky on or about year 1815; that he served the full period of sixty days in the military service....is the identical FRANCIS McCLEAN who volunteered in Captain J. DOWDEN's Company, Ky Militia ...in the state of Kentucky on or about the 1st day of September 1812 and was honorably discharged at Washington Ky about the day of Mch 1813; that I am in receipt of an 80 acre land warrant No. 17,380 dated Jany 1st 1856 State of Kentucky, County of Bracken} sS On this 23rd November a.d. 1850 personally appeared.....FRANCES McCLEAN aged sixty years @ resident of Bracken Conty....declares that he is the identical FRANCES McLEAN who was @ Private in the company commanded by Captain Jno DOWDEN in the regiment of Kentucky Volunteers Malitia commanded by Colonel ROBERT POUGE in the war with Great Britain.....volunteered at Jno HAMILTONs Bracken County KY on or about the 12th day August 1812 and continued in actual service...for the term of six months and was honorably discharged at Washinton Mason County Kenty on the 13th day of March 1813 as will appear by his original certificate of discharged herewith filed...... /s/ FRANCES McCLEAN......sworn to and subscribed...
