John Burns, son of the late Larry and Margarete Anna WHALEY Burns, died at his home on Kentontown pike Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock of a heart attack. He had been in ill health for several years. He was aged 71 years. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. STEVENS, Pastor of the county Methodist Churches. Interment in Mt Olivet Cemetery, in charge of Kain and Sheeler. Mr. BURNS was thrice married, his first wife being a Miss WOODWARD of Bracken county, who died in 1904. His second wife was Miss Ida NICHOLS, who died a number of years ago. He later married Miss Eddie BAKER, who survives with one daughter, Mrs. LINVILE.
