Risner, County Native, Claimed at 93 A.B. Risner was born 93 years ago, in March 1864, on Quicksand Creek, the son of Isaac and Polly Miller Risner, both members of pioneer Breathitt County families. The deceased was a member of the Baptist Church and was baptized many years ago. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, April 20, at the grave on Risner point by Rev. Wick McIntosh and Rev. Carlos Pugh and Misses Maloney and Goever of the Faith Mt. Mission, Rousseau. Mr. Risner is survived by three sons, Norman, Portsmouth, Ohio; Marion of Phoenix, Arizona, and Bryan of New Albany, Indiana; seven daughters, Mrs. Tracy Pitts and Mrs. Hargis Miller of Jackson; Mrs. Rebecca Callahan, Winchester; Mrs. Mollie Patton, Dayton, Ohio; Mrs. Melvin Bach, Bushnell, Florida; Mrs. Vernon Stacy, Ludlow, and Mrs. Cainer Spurlock of Lucasville, Ohio. Also surviving are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren.
