Few in this week Consequently Sales small Mr Moorman swaped horses today with James Roberts and gave $30 to boot. 30th at night snowy, nothing new since 27th several in to day and some of them ------ well Shot in the neck weather cold and bad William Stockton went to his Fathers yesterday and not yet returned Received 1 letter from Lynchburg from Wm H Tate 1 from Bro James S Kasey 1 from Alexr Kasey Jr postage on the whole 30cts which I paid to A. H. Moorman in cash bough ½ tobacco this week 31st Snow on the ground well as common, this is Sunday, some few in to day to put letters in the male some dealing also a thing common with Mr Moorman I refused to sell goods on Sunday’s as it is contrary to the law of the land and other moral laws.
