Sunday March 6th  past week nothing new very busy taking Inventory of goods on 
hand which took us 4 days tolerable cold weather Monday last Moorman went to 
the sale at Barrow and Watkins, vendurs  Friday last went to supper with John 
King ----- of Benjamin King  Several persons then and was acquainted with the 
most of the gentlemen but not acquainted with any of the ladies was treated 
with very much politeness by the people generally the girls only tolerable 
pretty and they had a play that was intirely new to me  Saw Miss Susan Barrow 
tolerable pretty girl but very small  Wm Stock to her instate his horse got 
away from him and he rode him with me on the horse that I rode.  This week 
bought “3 books” for the property a/o on day book No 1 see the a/o for price 
and at home today and several persons passing and some dealing a business that 
I never much dislike so much so that I think I shall note

Feel dull and heavy and dull today on a/o of setting up roting ---- but --- 
till 10 oclock A.M. though am hearty to eat and co  tomorrow Moorman going to 
Franklin Count perhaps be gone 1 or 2 days
