He was born August 11, 1952 in Breckinridge County, a son of Gilbert and Bernice Hoskinson Blair. He was a farmer. Surviving is his wife, Barbara Blair of Cecilia; his parents Bernice Allen, Garfield, and Gilbert and Judy Blair, Hudson; one step-daughter, Tina Jones of Ft. Carson, CO; one step-son, Todd Carroll of Cecilia; two sisters, Betty Milburn, Rineyville, and Debbie Robinson, Irvington; four brothers, Donnie Blair and Mark Allen, both of Cecelia, Doug Blair, Bewleyville, Dwight Allen, Irvington, two half sisters and two half brothers; three step-grandchildren; and his grandfather, Riley Blair, Hodgenville. The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 19 at Faith Community Church with the Rev. Donnie Peace officiating. Burial was in Hudson Cemetery. Trent-Dowell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Todd Carroll, Joe Watts, Guy Evans, Milton Board, Marty Moore and Jesse Lucas. Larry Armes 1949-1997 Larry Armes, 48, of Cloverport, died Friady, May 16, 1997, at his residence. He was born January 8, 1949 in Kentucky, a son of the late James Edward Armes and Mary Armes of Cloverport. Surviving in addition to his mother are one sister, Bessie Jane Richards of Reynolds Station; four brothers, James Robert Armes and Johnnie Miller Armes, Glen Edward Armes, all of Louisville, William David Armes of McQuady; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday, May 19, at Wallace Funeral Home in Cloverport with Bro. Darryl Crenshaw officiating. Burial was in McQuady Cemetery. Ella Pickhardt Tschudi 1910-1997 Ella Lacefield Pickhardt Tschudi, age 87, of McQuady, died Friday, May 16, 1997, at her residence. She was born April 10, 1910 in Breckinridge County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Tschudi. Survivors include one daughter, Peggy Tschudi Epperson, Louisville; two sons, Robert Pickhardt, Acapulco, Mexico, Peter Tschudi, Glen Dean; one sister, Lucy Woodcock, Jacksonville, FL; one brother Leonard Lacefield, Jacksonville, FL; three granddaughters; seven grandsons; and two great-grandchildren. Private funeral services were held Saturday, May 17, with Heady Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. burial was in St. Stephens Cemetery in Louisville. Delmer L. Carwile 1925-1997 Delmer L. Carwile, age 71, of Leitchfield, passed away Wednesday, may 14, 1997 at the Grayson Manor Nursing Home in Leitchfield. He was born in Leitchfield, October 15, 1924, a son of the late J. M. and Stella Lewis Carwile. He was a retired quality control inspector for American Standard, a Navy veteran of World War II, a member of the Leitchfield American Legion and was a member of the Caneyville Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Roger Carwile. He is survived by his wife, Wilma D. Shain Carwile of Leitchfield; one daughter, Linda Embry of Caneyville; three grandchildren Terry Dewayne, Joshua Matthew and Amanda Lin Embry; two great-grandchildren, Cortney Goff and D.J. May. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 16 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with Rev. David Brown officiating. Burial was in Deweese Cemetery. Ressy Jane Knott Witt 1904-1997 Ressy Jane Knott Witt, 92, of Elizabeth, IN, died Tuesday, May 13, 1997 at Indian Creek Health Center in Corydon, IN after a short illness. She was born August 18, 1904 in Breckinridge County, a daughter of the late George and Sarah Jane Stewart Knott. She was a native of Breckinridge County and a member of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by a son, Lloyd Donald Bane. Survivors include two daughters, Edna Payne Keys, Elizabeth IN, Loretta Bane Calloway, Monument, CO; one son, Maurice Payne, Louisville; six grandchildren; nine great- grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Thursday, May 15, 1997 at the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Jones officiating. Burial was in Dry Valley Cemetery. Pallbearers were Donald Raap, Jeffrey Raap, Gregory Payne, Sean Payne, Michael Pate, tony Ricci, Douglas Keys Jr., Matthew Keys and Clinton Keys. Carl Thomas Miller 1920-1997 Carl Thomas Miller, 77, of Hardinsburg, died Monday, May 19, 1997 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. He was born April 21, 1920, in Breckinridge County, a son of the late Hubert and Hazel Hawkins Miller. He was retired from the Corps of Engineers, was a member and deacon of New Clover Creek Baptist Church, and was a World War II Army veteran, a winner of seven bronze medals. Survivors include his wife, Imogene Fentress Miller, Hardinsburg; one daughter, Linda Gibson, Hardinsburg; one son, Tommy Miller, Louisville; two sisters, Juanita Jackson and Yvonne Ryan, Hardinsburg; two brothers, Frank and Joe Miller, both of Hardinsburg; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services are planned for 2 p.m. Thursday, May 22, at New Clover Creek Baptist church, with the Rev. Brad Henson, Greg Qualls and Tom Curry officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 21, afater 3 p.m. at the Trent-Dowell Funeral Home. Burial will be in New Clover Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Adelee Hoefler O'Bryant 1918-1997 Adelee Hoefler O'Bryant, age 79 of Harrodsburg, formerly of Hardinsburg, died Wednesday, May 14, 1997 at Ephriam McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. She was born March 7, 1918 in Louisville, and was the daughter of the late James H. and Lena Denzer Hoefler. She was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church, a housewife and was retired office manager of Wilson-Bond Architects Firm in Lexington. She was preceded in death by one sister Helen Miller and one brother Paul J. Hoefler. She is survived by her husband, J. Earl O'Brant, Harrodsburg; one daughter, Bonne O'Bryant Tanner, Alexandria, VA; one son, james E. O'Bryant Jr., Dickson, TN; one sister, Eva Worful, Louisville, and two grandsons. Pallbearers were Armond Bottom, Kenneth Burns, Connie Ellis, Brennan Royalty, James M. O'Bryant and Scott W. O'Bryant. Morris P. Holloway Morris P. Holloway, 68, a native of Harned, died Tuesday, May 13, 1997 at his residence in Louisville. He was a retired employee of Johnson Control (Battery Plant). He is survived by his wife, the former Bobbi J. McDonald; four daughters, Sharon Henry, Helen Thorpe, Audrey Williams and Cynthia Holloway; a son, Timothy Holloway; two sisters, Hazel Hall and Loretta Murry; two brothers, Chester Holloway and Henry Holloway Jr.; and six grandchildren. The funeral was held Saturday, May 17, 1997, at the Antioch Baptist Church in Louisville, with burial in the Louisville Cemetery. The G.C. Williams Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
