Stephens 1929-1998 November 25, 1998 Lloyd Tabor 1930-1998 Lloyd Tabor, age 68, of Hardins- burg, died Wednesday, November 18, 1998, at VA Hospital in Louis- ville. Mr. Tabor was born in Breck- inridge County, a son of Homer Tabor of Medco Center, in Hardins- burg, and the late Carlotta Frances Basham Tabor. He was owner and operator of an electronics store, a member of the Presbyterian faith, was an Army veteran of the Korean War, and was a member of the Har- dinsburg Masonic Lodge. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Juanita Dooley Tabor; a son, Stoy Tabor, Brandenburg; four daugh- ters, Debbie Finn, Harned, Denise Horsley, Garfield, Cindy Tabor and Jackie Ramsey, Constantine; three brothers, Earl Tabor, Leitchfield, Erma Tabor, Hamed, and Ronnie Tabor, Hardinsburg; a sister. Hazel Ford, Columbia, TN; eight grand children, a stepgrandchild; and a great-grandchild. Services were conducted at 1p.m. Saturday,November21 fromTrent- Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg, with burial in Freedom Cemetery at Hamed. Mrs. Ruby T. DeHaven 1912-1998 Mrs. Ruby Travis DeHaven, age 86, of Hardinsburg, died Tuesday, November 17,1998, at Norton Hos- pital, Louisville. Born in Grand Riv- ers, KY, Mrs. DeHaven was the daughter of the late John and Alice Smith Travis. She was a homemaker, a member of the Hardinsburg United Methodist Church, theOrderof East- em Star, Kirk Homemakers, and Hardinsburg United Methodist Church UMW. Her husband, John Howard DeHaven, preceded her in death November 16,1980. Mrs. DeHaven is survived by a daughter, Jane Roberts, Benton; two sons. Dr. Howard DeHaven, Co- lumbia, TN, and Tom DeHaven, Hardinsburg; a sister, Marjorie Rob- ertson, Bellvue, FL; six grandchil- dren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 19, from Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg, with burial in Ivy Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Elizabeth K. Steele 1935-1998 Mrs. Elizabeth Lou Kruger Steele, age 63, of Louisville, died Tuesday, November 24, 1998, at Southwest Jefferson Hospital. Born in Breck- inridge County, Mrs. Steele was the daughter of the late Ira and Lucille Hickerson Kruger. She was retired from Sears as an office worker, was an Air Force veteran and a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Rob- ert W. Steele; two sons, Robert I. and William L. Steele, both of Lou- isville; two brothers, Logan Kruger, Houston, AL, and Leo Kruger, Minden, NV; Katie Janecek and Linda Smith, both of Hardinsburg. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, November 27 from the New Bethel Baptist Church with burial in the New Bethel Cemetery. Visita- tion will be at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg, beginning at 4 p.m. Thursday. Calvin Edward Blan, Jr. 1926-1998 Calvin Edward Blan, Jr., age 72, died Friday, November 21,1998, at his home in Cloverport. Bom in Breckinridge County, Mr. Blan was a son of the late Calvin Edward Blan and Zilpha Johnson. He was retired from farming and construction and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include Mrs. Louella Duvall Blan; a daughter, Sharon Bartlett, Cloverport; stepdaughters, Janee' Crissman, Tammy Jonas, Carolette Bennett, and Candi Wil- son, Cocoa, FL, Tina Cotton, Mo- bile, AL, and Jada Bell, Muscadine, AL; a stepson, John Wilbert, Glenwood, AL; two sisters, Nannie Duncan, Reynolds Station, and Mary McMannaway, Fordsville; two brothers, Leslie Blan and Orville Blan, Hawesville; two grandchil- dren; eighteen stepgrandchildren , and three great-grandchildren. The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 23, from Trent- Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg, with burial in Beatty Cemetery at Fordsville. Albert R. Campbell 1935-1998 Albert R. "Bert" Campbell, age 63, of Nashville, TN, formerly of Louisville, died Saturday, Novem- ber 21, 1998, at VA Hospital at Murfreesboro, TN, following a lengthy illness. Born November 8, 1935, in Evansville, IN, a son of the late Robert Campbell and Lorena Webber. He was formerly employed with Brown & Williamson Tobacco Co., and Disney Tire Co., Louis- ville, was a college graduate attend- ing both U of K and U of L, and was an Army veteran. Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Betty Jo Carman Campbell, formerly of Irvington, in 1974. Surviving are a daughter, Allison Campbell, Nashville, TN; nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 24 at Cedar Hill Cemetery at Irvington, under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home, Irvington.
